I had a leak with a Tectite Sprint (copper push-fit) elbow and the pipe was too short to cut and replace. My solution was to use an angle grinder - first cut through the middle so that this part (plus the pipe) can be pushed out of the way. (see pic). Second cut is gently applied bit by bit to try and avoid cutting the pipe.
