Annual tradition!! Ross On Wye Angling Club

Thanks to RA, you can introduce your kids to fishing this Saturday, free of charge. Reston Association is hosting its annual this Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 8am-12pm. It will take place along Snakeden Branch Stream in Reston, between Soapstone Drive and Lake Audubon. The stream will be stocked with hundreds of rainbow trout, and kids aged 2.

Government agency DEFRA (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs) has consulted with representatives of Ross-on-Wye Angling Club on the steps needed to protect and restore the polluted River Wye. Club chairman Rob Leather and past chairman Trevor Hyde, who carries out weekly phosphate monitoring tests on the river in Ross, were invited.

Club Newsletter No.2 Ross On Wye Angling Club

Ross-On-Wye Angling Club . Conditions of Using the Water and General Fishing Rules. All anglers fishing our waters must adhere to the following rules and guidelines. All Club members use the Club waters, facilities and equipment at their own risk. The coarse fishing season runs from 16 June until 14 March inclusive. Fishing outside these dates.

The catastrophic decline in numbers of Atlantic Salmon returning to the river Wye has been highlighted by a catch of just three salmon to members of Ross-on-Wye Angling Club throughout the 2022 season, which ended on 17th October. Disappointing though this was, many formerly productive stretches of the river, including Hereford & District AA.
