The South Molton and District Angling Club was established in 1970 and has 5 miles of fishing on the picturesque River Bray for wild brown trout. The River Bray is a tributary of the River Mole, which in turn is a tributary of the River Taw. It rises in Exmoor National Park, and our fishing beats are near Brayford on the southern edge of the moor.

Where do you fish River Mole? River Mole runs from Mickleham, near the Running Horses pub, to Young Street. Free parking facilities can be found at Young Street car park, which gives easy access to the river. This 2-mile river is fairly shallow but is home to a very large head of chub, perch to 5 lbs., chub to 6 lbs.

The river is one of the best kept secrets amongst Surrey anglers. This rectangular lake with an average depth of 3 feet can accommodate 26 anglers on 2 metre square platforms. No fishing between platforms. It is naturally spring fed and water levels are also kept up when the River Mole has it's winter floods.
